Hair is such an important part of our existence as black women, and as a Nigerian, my hair influences my work. Over the years, I have learnt to embrace my hair and work with what helps to maintain, grow and flaunt it. I incorporate my love for black women and by extension - our hair in my work.

To celebrate #InternationalWomensDay, I collaborated with Insight Publicis & The Artbox Project to recognise, celebrate and honour the late Dora Akunyili (Professor, National Health Champion and cancer warrior.)
Renike x Hulu
I was commissioned by Hulu & Talent House to create a piece that highlights the release of the movie: “The United States vs Billie Holiday.”
This piece was inspired by Billie Holiday and her clear stance against injustice through her music. She was a woman who stared injustice and oppression in the face, with a rigid determination to stand and fight against it.

In the heart of the lockdown in 2020, I was commissioned by Olori Cosmetics, one of Nigeria’s top hair care brands, to create art for a campaign tagged #stayathomewitholori. The campaign focused on highlighting how to treat your hair as you stay at home during the lockdown.
